so origonally i was not going to even get a limo for my wedding. But I found a limo company that said they woulkd do it for $275 flat! Thats an awesome price in the boston area! only problem is that We have ten people in the wedding party and its a 10 passenger limo. Limo driver says its fine (pprob because thats the only size limo and he wants our service) But do you think 5 women and 5 men would fit comfortably in it?? 2 people are on the heavier side and me the bride with my dress.

Do you think I should just get it its a short ride 10 min to the picture area and 20 to the reception. Thanks!!

  1. If it's a 10 passenger and you have 10 people, it should work.

  2. i think that you should really just see the limo and then decide as to whether or not 10 people fit or you can get the limo for just you and your

  3. I would go check out the limo first.  I was Maid of Honor in my friend's wedding and the wedding party was a total of 8 people.  We were told it was an 8 passenger limo...well 2 people ended up sitting in the front with the driver!!!  It was terrible...it definitely did not fit 8 people comfortably.  Six of us we cramped in the back.

Definitely go check it out before you commit to it!

  4. Sorry but I do not think there is going to be enough room.  You need to count yourself as 2 or even 3 people so that there can be room for your dress to arrive as unwrinkled as possible.  If two people are on the heavier side you need to count the two of them as 3 ( sorry) to be certain there is enough room to accomodate.  They tell you 10 and 10 average to skinny people can cram in the back so they are not lying but in this case, as in many, 10 does not equal 10 so you need more room.  Why are the men in the limo?  The limo takes the bride and her girls to the church and then takes the Bride and groom to the reception.  You could add the wedding party on that after ceremoney ride but you need more limo space or less people

  5. I think you really should see the limo or have your fiance check it out with his bestman quickly. How big is your gown? If it's poofy then make sure there's enough room.

    All the best :)

  6. Our limo guy told us that although the limo can seat 10, it's not really comfortable, especially if the girls will be in fancy dresses and you'll be in your bridal gown. Not to mention, to get into the limo, everyone will have to do a lot of sqwooshing together and nobody will really enjoy the ride. Dresses will get stepped on and possibly wrinkled. Maybe you can treat your bridal party to the limo and you and hubby have a designated driver (a close friend or sibling) take you in a separate car?

  7. Fitting the actual amount of people in the limo that is the limos "size" is usually VERY tight. You guys want to be comfortable. I was just in a limo and we had 2 less then the "suggested amount" and we were still super uncomfortable. I would make sure to look at the limo one way or the other, $275 is very cheap....you don't want it to arrive and realize it looks terrible.

  8. How poofy is your dress?  I think it will be crowded, but it should be okay.  How big are the bridesmaid dresses?  plus you have flowers etc...  If your dress is poofy it will get smashed.  As long as no one wants to move around..I would get it.  If you're worried about your dress getting wrinkled or smashed or the BM getting wrinkled then don't..

  9. A "10-passenger" vehicle holds a max of 10 people, including the driver!  So who else is going to sit in the front seat with the driver?  Do not try to cram extra people, especially heavier ones, and the dress, veil and all into that limo.  Get one for the bride & groom (perhaps with Maid of Honor & Best Man), and second one for the rest of the bridal party.

Remember you have stops to make and everybody has to pile out, pile back in again.  Do you want your bridal party to remember what a wonderful wedding it was, or remember being crammed into a too-small limo with dresses rumpled, hems caught on heels and torn veils?

  10. I would rent a rolls royce or another nice car for the bride and groom and a limo for the brides maid and grooms men

  11. for a short ride after the ceremony it will be fine!

  12. i was in a limo bus for my cousin's wedding in June. I don't remember how many it held, but i can tell you that there were 12-15 people (12 not counting ring bearer and flower girl and their mother) and it was pretty tight.  Now, none of us really minded, considering they asked us to be in the wedding, so we didn't complain.  I will say this though, we didn't have anyone "heavy" people with us, and it was still a little tight.  For half an hour, they shouldn't mind, we probably were in it for 30 min each way, if that helps any.

  13. well ill tell you now i checked on limos and they told me since my dress is big i count as 2 people so if i was gonna get on for me and my groom it would have to be a 4 person limo and if i did they wedding wedding party plus m and the groom that is 8p--people i would need a ten person limo and so on cuz your dress would count as 2 people or thats wat they told me
