Find dy/dx

y = (x^2 + 3x)/(7 - 2x)

y = (3x^2 + 4)(x^2 - 9x)

y = abs(x^2 - 4) abs means absolute value

y = {3x - 5 , x <_ 1

. {x^2 - 3, x > 1

thanks in advance

i know its a lot

but i really really hate math and i've been stuck for about an hour

thank you!!

  1. y = (x^2 + 3x)/(7 - 2x)

    Quotient Rule:

    [(7-2x)(2x+3)-(x^2+3x)(-2)] / (7-2x)^2

    = [14x+21-4x^2-6x+2x^2+6x] / (7-2x)^2

    = [-2x^2+14x+21] / (7-2x)^2

  2. Apply the quotient rule, then apply the required rules to the inside.
