  2. Setanta O'hailpin has played two senior games for Carlton, and currently plays for the feeder team Northern Bullants in the VFL.  He's going OK but is still raw with his footy ability.

    Brother Aisake plays also for the Northern Bullants - currently in their reserves team.  Is taking time to develop and is a long term prospect at Carlton.

    The most established current Irish player is star backman Tadgh Kennelly of the Swans who's won a premiership last year and played 105 games.

    Colm Begley is a 19 year-old playing his first season of AFL with Brisbane's reserves team and Brendan Quigley has returned to Ireland with home sickness after being here earlier this year.

    The best known Irish player in the history of the AFL is brownlow medallist Jim Stynes.
