Talumpuk Peninsula
Talumpuk Peninsula is a district in Pakpanang County, Nakhon Sri Thammarat Province. This peninsula created by the transportation of shore sand from the south, west, and north in the Gulf of Thailand and the impulsion of a stream from mountain Nakorn Sri Thamaraj ranges. Talumpuk Penninsula is a suitable location for trading and transporting goods around the world.
10 years ago, before the flooding occurred every afternoon. There are ring net Chinese boats and padding boats all over the peninsula. These boats carried fresh fishes, shrimps and other seafood to the Pakpanang Market. Pakpanang residents always enjoy fresh seafood from Talumpuk fishermen.
Hurricane Depression hit Talumpuk Pennissula on 25 October 2505. It was the worst hurricane in history. It was rains all day consecutively, afternoon and evening got multiply intensity and overcast sky. The Pakpanang seniors claimed, they have never seen this type of tornado. It was too much rain, wind, tide, wave, and flood covered all over the peninsula. Some houses where begin to totter separate, destroy suddenly. Hundred of People climbed and got on roofs of some stable houses. Once the terror storm gone, there are countless dead bodies all over the beach. Most survivors stayed in mangrove forest because it reduced the heavy tide and wind.
Just one night, all the houses and property were destroyed, countless dead bodies, and homeless people.
