  1. Try stretching.  Put both hands flat against the wall and push.  You can also put a folded pillow between your legs and squeeze.  Alternate a hot and cold pack against the affected part.  Ben g*y will also alleviate the pain.

  2. lay down and get a meesage, or start slowly moving, move around.

the problem might go away if you eat healthy to.

  3. ~ Hi ~ ! I'm sorry you are experiencing pain. Pain is a signal something is going on, so I would really avoid doing challenging stretches until you start to feel relief from the pain. It sounds like the pain is radiating from the lumbar area.

Your first goal should be reducing the inflammation and a good way to help with inflammation is OTC Ibuprofen - advil (if you tolerate it OK), I have found the liquid gel caps work best and fastest.

Next, I would alternate ice and heat. The Ice will help in reducing the inflammation and the heat will help to relax the muscles. 20 minutes each 3 times a day is sufficient.

The important thing with any strain like this is REST, REST, REST. This will allow your spine the opportunity to heal and will relieve pain from the hip.

Once you start feeling relief from the pain, then you can start some stabilization exercises. Here is a great site that also has diagrams:

If the pain persists, you should contact your Doctor. I hope you get relief from the pain very soon!
