i start school in 3 days i am overly excited and i can't sleep at night what do i do!?

  3. they say drink a glass of hot milk or chocolate...

    because it will help you to relax a bit

    have a nice sleep ^^

  4. get out of your bedroom.

    if you stay in it you wont associate it with sleep, so therefore, get up, get dressed, and get out of it. because when you go back in there you should be tired and relaxed.

    dont eat before sleeping, it wakes you up! no caffeine, nothing, unless its water.

    read a book, it tends to tire your eyes out and takes your mind of other things (like starting school haha)

    get a sleeping pattern. if you cant sleep till four in the morning for example, still get up at 8:00am because you will be tired the next night, and it resets your body clock and gives you a good pattern - plus it'll pay off when you go to school :)

    and last off all

    let your mind wander!

    when lying in bed, start at your toes and concentrate on relaxing them, move up your legs, to your stomach, shoulders, hands and face. and when your totally relaxed think of all the good stuff you cant wait to happen and think of how you can get organised. your mind'll get carried away and you'll drift off.

    and last off all, maybe you need back ground noise? i used to fall asleep with my television on, and then it was the fan, and now i sleep with the window open because the noise distracts me quite a bit.

    then before you go to bed, drink milk, because it has something in it that makes you sleepy (cant remember the name)

  8. haha i did this on sunday.. i just tried to calm down by listening to music or reading a really distracting book to get my mind off of it

  9. well it depends on your age...but when i was younger and couldnt sleep i would drink a nice cup of herbal tea with chamomile,or any other kind calming tea drink it nice and hot with not to much sugar,and it will work like a charm...sleeping pills are also great but the tea is a whole lot safer these days
