so i just made my new training programme as my old one was totally messed up......

my aim is to try and build muscle. especially upper body. i basicly need to know how long it will take for me to notice a difference and if the programme will actually help me.

this is the programme. all of the excersizes are at the heaviest weight possible.

BENCH PRESS, INCLINE BENCH PRESS, PRESS UPS, HANGING LEG RAISES, CRUNCHES, OBLIQUE CRUNCHES.LEG EXTENSIONS, CALF RAISES, HAMSTRING CURL, SQUATS.

tuesday-back, trapizeus

LAT PULL DOWNS, BEHIND NECK PULL DOWNS, SHOULDER SHRUGS (also crunches at night)

wednesday- rest/cardio

thursday- triceps, legs

TRICEP PULL DOWNS, CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS, TRICEP DIPS, LEG EXTENSIONS, CALF RAISES, HAMSTRING CURL, SQUATS.

friday- chest, abs

HANGING LEG RAISES, CRUNCHES, OBLIQUE CRUNCHES, BENCH PRESS, INCLINE BENCH PRESS, PRESS UPS

saturday- shoulders, biceps

SHOULDER PRESS, STANDING BARBELL CURLS, CABLE PULL DOWN (also crunches at night)

sunday- rest/cardio

All exercises are done with 4 sets of 6-8 reps.

most importantly, will it work and how long will it take to notice a difference in my body shape...???

  1. i think that program will definitely work.I don't work out to that extreme, but whenever i go work out or even just go to cheer practice i notice a difference in my shape within a week. I feel a lot stronger and look a lot more toned especially a few weeks in. With all of that i'm sure you will notice a difference in the first couple of weeks, but it really depends on how you're body is already. Like if you have no muscle, or if you just took a break and want to get your tone back.

  2. it generally takes at least a month to really notice something... I dunno if it's gonna work, I'm not reading this much... to be honest with you... the 6-8 reps thing is stupid I think... what's the point of having huge muscles??? you aren't strong... your muscles just look sick and overgrown... guys look at you stupid and girls think you're disgusting... it's not gonna get you anything man... do less weight and more reps, tone your body, that'll be much much better for you!

  3. It's okay. If you are thin and want to gain, you need to "max out" on the last set -- that is, increase the amount of weight with each set until you can't do it any more. You'll need a spotter. Also, free weights are better for building mass.

If you are just big but untoned, the above will work fine, but add cardio before each workout. Even 20 minutes, to get your heart rate up.

  4. Your routine looks reasonable. It will depend on your eating habits and sleeping habits. If you do the proper diet and 8 hours a night of sleep. You should notice a big difference in just a few months. The key is to stick to your routine!!

  5. id say about 2-3 months for the first sighs.

  6. With all of that you'll probably see huge improvement with in a few months, but make sure you have alot of calories in your meal because you need it for energy, and keep your protein high.Think Michael Phelps' daily meals.

  7. Well it looks like you summed it all up yourself! Everything you put down will be doing exactly what you want done. You should start seeing results in about one to two months.>>>>>BUILD MUSCLES>>>>>

  8. it took my son about 8 weeks after that we saw the def, ever week keep up the good work it will make a big def, in your life
