10 points to the best decorating idea for my son's room!?

My son is 2 1/2 & we're moving in a few weeks so I'm trying to come up with a creative decorating idea for his walls. I have his bedding so far, it's a white comforter with tons of colourful stripes (yellow, orange, lime green, light & dark blue). I don't want to do any type of cartoon theme because it's too limiting. I was thinking of painting his room a brighter blue from the comforter & then doing something different with the wall behind his headboard. I'd appreciate any ideas for painting & or other decorations that would work with the bright colour scheme. THANKS!

I think it would be totally awesome to put a train track all the way around his room and have a choo-choo run.

You could paint the top part of the wall blue, like the sky.

I think your ideas so far are great! That bedding sounds really nice for a kid. You should really make his room personal. What is he into? What does he like? Maybe cars, or skateboarding? Try something that he likes, ask him or observe him after all you are his mother. Maybe you can grab some wodden letters at Micheal's and you guys can paint them together and put them up on the wall? Make this time for you guys to bond and have fun. Maybe in the closet you can let him paint his hands on it? And use the colors on the bdding as accent colors throughout the room. Make it simple and not too cluttered with colors find some white furniture or something to make the room look airy and nice and fresh. But mostly have fun!!

u get these 3D paints which u can use to paint his roof to look like a sky with stars, th moon, and maybe a rocket and an UFO.
