We couldn't think of a name for him so we appropriately named him after a nameless Final Fantasy Character (Fairly recent one)

In the beginning of the game he is the only character you can name, so the game never speaks his name audioly but they refer to him as "hey you" and they whistle at him, or just start speaking w/o saying his name.

I am fairly certain that you are referring to Tidus, from FFX. I named him something funny, to hear the game say "Come here f**t" or "Big Butt, did you see where he went?" But alas, they did not speak his name.
