2. Easy data manipulation like applying fuctions etc.

3. Frequent use.

Database:

1. Automated Data storage(can also be done in Spreadsheets).

2. Enterprise level data mining.

3. Clinet/Sever architecture, ie use in Networks.

4. Concurrency control, multi threaded enviroment, deadlock protection and many more things.
