When I started working at my current job, I “supposedly”

signed up for a magazine subscription that has like 20 of them every month for 5 years. (I KNOW I did not because that's just stupid!) Well, some @sshole called me today saying that I owed like about 100 f-ing bucks in late fees, in addition to the monthy fee of 19.95.

It was supposed to be canceled because another lady I work with called them like the first day they sent some magazines here and canceled it. I told the guy that we were under the impression that it was canceled and he said that he showed nothing saying that. He also said in order to cancel it, the balanced needed to be paid.

Well, I’M NOT F-ING PAYING FOR SOMETHING I NEVER ASKED FOR AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CANCLED!!!! What should/can I do here?

And please, I am NOT going to pay this, so don't give that as an answer!

Thanks in advance!!!

  1. This way may be very frusterating, but you need to call, call, and call. Just argue with everyone employee that dares to pick up the phone. Never give up and after the day's over usually they will give up, cuz they think you will be crazy, but atleast you don't have to pay them, cuz in my, and your opinion, they're the crazy ones.

  2. Just tell them to send you a validation of the debt. To be on the safe side, I would put it on fraud alert for 90 days through Trans Union Fraud Dept. Their toll free # 1-800-680-7289. They will notify the other 2 bureaus for you. Better to be safe than sorry later

  3. Do you remember any name or dates when you canceled this subscription mess?  Having such info puts a load credit in your argument.  Otherwise, it is a you vs. them situation.  But, I'm on your side and I believe you can with this via your argument.  State your facts.  Get the number of the buttheads' higher up next time he calls.  You can fight this if you are presistant.  Take names, and tell them to stop harassing you...make sure you use that word....harassing, it scares the h**l out of companies.  Take control of the situation, when they call don't be afraid to show your anger.

    Good luck,
