Restoring the rights of American citizenship that our forefathers fought and died to obtain and which have been ripped from our souls and shredded before our eyes by the insipid, bankrupt, and corrupt administration of George "King W" Bush.

    3. When voting, is a candidates race / ethnicity important to you?

    No.

    4. a) When voting, is a candidates religion important to you?

Only so far as the candidate must keep his or her religious beliefs out of his or her political positions. There is no place in American for faith-based political beliefs or positions. The separation of church and state is sacrosanct, and politicians who base their positions on religious beliefs cannot be elected to office.

    4. b) Would you vote for an Atheist? A Muslim? Explain why or why not.

See 4a - Insofar as a candidate keeps his personal beliefs out of politics, his religion does not matter. If he or she injects their beliefs into their political reasoning, I cannot vote for them, whatever their religion.

    5. Do you believe in separation of church and state? Is it important for the United States to ensure separation of church and state exists? Why or why not?

See response to 4a. The separation of church and state is sacrosanct, and must be protected at all costs. There is no place in politics for decisions made on religious belief, or for government funding of faith-based programs.

    5. Do you believe in separation of church and state? Is it important for the United States to ensure separation of church and state exists? Why or why not?

Yes, it is one of the founding principles of our nation.  It is important because otherwise the majority religion will through its numbers and social and political power subjugate members of minority religions.  It is for that very reason that the Founders wrote the Establishment Clause into our Constitution.
