ok so everyband is based on something but what were the stones based on? influences? is it a good idea for a 13 year old to follow them ? i mean theyre old!! some contreversies?thanks

i don`t known if you can follow them because they are too old, but their influences are this ones:

1960&#039;s: Blues, Rhythm &amp; Blues, Country Music, and Psychedelic

1970&#039;s: Funk, Reggae, Punk, and Disco!

1980&#039;s: Pop and Soul Music

1990&#039;s: Techno and Rap!

Yeah they may be old but they are legends sorta like the Beatles and The Who etc...But anyway, the Rolling Stones were not always rock singers and started out playing Blues. I could be wrong but that is the info I have. It is perfectly ok for a 13 year old to like them but your friends are probably into other kinds of music but its ok its fantastic to be different and an individual!
