how much should you spend for a 10 year old birthday... from a friend not family...

That depends on how tight your budget is.  If you are capable no more than $20.00 I guess.  Usually I look around for deals on toys. This time of year most places have alot of their toys marked down.  The cost of the gift, isn't important.  It's the thought that counts.

If he/she is family, about $20 to $40.  If he/she is just a friend of one of your kids, about $10 to $15.  It really depends on what you can afford.
