Question:

100 Good Wishes Quilt?

My sister-in-law is adopting a 9 year old girl from China. It is a tradition in some parts of China to make a Bai Jia Bei, 100 Good Wishes quilt. Along with the quilt comes a memory book in which you write a special message of good wishes. I would like something beautiful, short and simple. Any ideas?

  1. I agree with mommy2squee.  Obviously she understands Chinese adoptions and the symbolism associated with the red thread.

  2. The "Red Thread"

"An invisible thread connects hearts meant to meet.

It can stretch twist and tangle, but will never break."

  3. As you enter our lives, know that many hearts are here to help you be the best you can be.

  4. Can't think of anything good.  I guess you could wish for:

    Sanity

    understanding

    lack of anger

    lack of fear

    an attempt at happiness

    always remember who you are

    don't worry about disapproval

    don't be afraid to trust...

Wish away all of the things that make us miserable

  5. May you bring everyone else you meet the same happiness that you have brought to us.

    You are special

(This may sound corny or cliche, but it is sooo true)  You complete our family
