  1. cold.   warm or hot will fade /shrink it

  2. wash the cover in cold water. if u use hot or even warm water, the color will fade. use clorox 2 to get a thorough clean.

  3. Wash it cold water with a detergent intended for cold water use.  Hot water will turn your black cover grey with several washes.  If the cover is stained, you can add a little "bleach for unbleachables" -- i.e. non-chlorine bleach.  But don't use it unless you have to.  I've found cold water Tide detergent effective for washing soiled car blankets and the like.

  4. wat does it say on the label  ?

  5. I WOULD WASH IT ON A COOL, DELICATES WASH WITH ABSOLUTE MINIMUM OF COLOUR PROTECTOR DETERGENT AND A LITTLE FABRIC SOFTENER,  DO NOT TUMBLE DRY, THAT WILL PROBABLY SHRINK IT.  STRETCH INTO SHAPE WHILST DRYING.  FABRIC WILL PROBABLY TIGHTEN UP A BIT AFTER WASHING, BUT WILL STRETCH OUT AFTER A DAY OR TWO.

  6. Cold water.  However, depending on the fabric content and the type of dye the manufacturer used to color it black, it may fade or bleed.  If this happens, you may be able to redye it to its original black.  You may want to wet a small corner of the cover to see if it bleeds.  Dry-cleaning is always an option!

I have a lot of black clothes and curtains, and I redye them about every 6 months with Rit black dye.
