Question:

100 gallon aquarium ?

could i divide it into 2 and have a tiger Oscar in one half and community tank with catfish, small schoolers etc in the other half

or are there water conditions different

  1. Dividers out there and those that you can design and fashion yourself, usually have holes that keep the water constant throughout the tank.

    So with 100 Gallon Tank, you could separate the tank in half, and keep the fish you want...the filter for the water will still filter the whole tank...with a tank like this, a canister filter is the way to go.

  2. Yes that should be fine. If you put a glass wall in the middle then the ph etc shouldnt matter. It would be easier if they lived in the same water conditions. Most catfish will do fine in the same conditions as the oscars (6.8-7.2). A ph of 7 should do fine for both
