  1. Well, 1000 meters is really nothing.  It is less than a mile, more than half a mile.  A mile is 1600m and half mile is 800m.  A decent half mile time would be around 2:20, and a decent 200m time would be around 28 seconds.  I did a 200m time because:  800m + 200m = 1000m.  So a pretty good 1000 meter time would be about (if paced correctly) 3 minutes to 3:30.  4:40 is not amazing, but hey, a lot of the world couldn't even run half a mile without falling over and being tired.

    I run a 4:48 1500 meter, and I'm a freshman in high school.

  2. The world record is 2:14.. a competitive time for a man is probably around 2:25-2:35. At 14, a good time is probably around 2:50 or under.

  3. At high school level, some girls break 3 minutes.

  4. well to give you an idea if you were runing at a 6 minute mile pace your time would be around 3:45

so your running around a 7.30 mile

    not so good

and your actual mile is probably around 8.15 because youll  get tired

i ran a 740 mile when i i was 13 and i wasnt in what i would call running shape

you got some work to do
