1000m [indoor] help?

i usually run descent 1000m. my most recent time is 3.34.34

that time is not good at all. how should i run a good 1000m. how can i break 3.14 ??

  1. run the 1000m a little slower pace than an 800

    as always in these short races it is advantageous to take the lead at the beginning because then you will not have to pass anyone on the turns and a short jult won't hurt your time at all

    keep a steady pace 1 or 2 seconds ahead of your goal time pace and kick in hard and you will run a great time if your strong enough

    and last but not least just push through the pain
