  1. The only thing that will really help you shave a couple seconds off you time is your form and your explosion. Improving your form should in return improve your time. But your explosion is everything. When you come from out of the starting block, you should be a 45 degree angle pushing off of your power leg and pumping with the same arm. You should remain low for about 6-7 strides out. Don't force yourself to stay down. After 6-7 strides your body should naturally rise up. This is your stride phase. At this point, your knees should come up as high as you can bring them and kick them out as far as you can. This while open up your stride. Your arms should also pump at 90 degree angles. These little things alone will cut time off of your 100m. Hope these help you out.

  2. Can we get some more information? What is your time right now? How old are you? Male/Female?

Did you run much during the off season? The best exercise to help you out is running. Run 100 at 60%, walk 100, Run 100 at 70% walk 100, run 100 at 80% walk 100, run 100 at 90% walk 100, run 100 at 100% walk 100.  Start doing this loop 2-3 time and work your way up to 5-7 times.  It will help out a lot.  Good Luck!

  3. are you practicing hard? i dont see why you shouldnt improve. when i did the 1600 i got slower, but thats because my knees were slowly breaking down on me and it hurt to run. does it hurt you?
