Ok i have all year to get my 100m time faster, but i want to know if there is a limit on how fast i can run. Most days i can run a 11 flat but on good days i can somtimes get a 10.8-10.9sec run. is there any way for me to speed this up or is it the fastest im going to get.

  1. the best way to get better at running the 100m is form, if u can keep ur form for the whole 100m then ur time will improve. I see a lot of kids who run the first 75m with perfect form then break down and lose a lot of time on there runs, make sure that u keep ur form the whole way and i bet u can lower ur time by a few tenths

  2. Practice sprinting 200m. Then once you can do that, go for 250. Try to get up to sprinting a whole 400m. That way you can learn to manage your speed and kick it in right away at the beginning, and sustain the whole length of the race. Also, when you run the 100m, plan on running past the curve, so you don't slow down at the finish line. Many races are lost in the last 10 meters.

  3. In this sector now, there is a question on speed for 100m hurdles. Check my answer there, is of help to you.

As I know, try to get below 10 sec for 100m.  As you keep on training regularly, you will shorten the time if done the right way.  Take it from your trainers.  Remember no limit to doing, unless you limit yourself.
