I have 2 coins from around the 1970s. The first one is "The United Nations Official 25th Anniversary Commemorative Medal" It is solid bronze. On the coin there is a picture of the UN Building and says "justice progress" in a few different languages. The Back has the UN logo, and "united nations" in a few different languages.

The second coin is in a hard piece of paper foldy thing that says Peace and "May the spirit of youth kindle the flame of peace for all mankind." The coin has a picture of two woman jumping and looking upwards. it says in small letters "youth for peace". The back has a swirly thing, and the UN symbol in the center. I think it is also solid bronze, but not positive

anyone know the value of any of these? thanks!

  1. these coins were made for commemoration and has no monetary value on it.  UN issued stuff is still very low with collectors.  and depends on the country u r in.  if in NY, you may get a good price, guestimating at $200.  If in Europe, it will be not much as pple still dont know about UN [surprisingly]. Worst still, in Asia.

u can take it to an auction house esp in london where they would be able to give a good assessement on it.
