1080p TV vs Monitor?

should i buy a tv or a monitor? which has better picture? pros and cons? im looking at prices, and a 1080p monitor is so much cheaper then a 1080p television... plus i can use it as my pc monitor as well.

How big is the TV?  I'd go for a 22" LCD Monitor and if you are going big then an LCD HDTV will do.

pro for tv=tuner,speakers,bigger screen available.

con for tv=picture isn't better than monitor.

con for monitor=no speaker or tuner,not suitable with 50 inches screen

pro for monitor=price,picture quality

A "television" has a tuner and extra inputs. That's about it. If you can get a monitor that has a resolution of 1080 x 1920, and has the inputs you need, go for it.
