  1. acv 2 is the older one which lower oxygen flow and is only suitable to be wore up to max 10hrs. but advance is much more higher oxygen flow and sutiable for longer hrs wear

  2. Advance allegedly contains more moisture, but I started with Acuvue 2 and when I tried to change to Advance, my eyes were always irritated by it. Oasys is pretty good though, cuz I don't know if it's summer time allergies or something, but ever wearing a sample pair of Oasys even my Acuvue 2 kinda irritates me now.

  3. Acuvue Advance (AvAdv) is made of a different type of material than Acuvue 2 (Av2), allowing more oxygen to your eye, thus being healthier and allowing you to sleep in your contacts (although this is never encouraged by ODs because the risk of infection increases). More oxygen to your eye also means that you'll less likely suffer from dry and/or red eyes).  AvAdv also provides more UV protection that Av2 since it is made based on newer technology than Av2.

if you're a current Av2 wearer, you may have comfort problems with Acuvue's newer lenses like Advance or Oasys.  There's no real explanation as to why that is.  The best thing would be to ask your doctor for a trial pair so you can feel/see the difference.

  4. They also have acuvue oasis, not sure on how they spell oasis. I have been using the oasis since they came out and love them. I have two week disposables that I leave in for about two months and never take them out. I know that the oasis are much more breathable than the previous advance and 2. The way I see it, they're your eyes. If it costs 20 more to have more comfortable and better breathing contacts, it's worth it.
