  1. Make sure you have first decided clearly which ONE concept you're teaching the child that day..... is it similarity in color? ....of shape?  ....of texture?....

Then plan diff. fun things like:

-- having him pick the two same things from a row of items on a table

-- look at a store catalogue for same items (make it a contest)

-- get some friends of your child to play a fun afternoon of Treasure Hunt, looking for items in the yard/park

-- borrow some fun videos from the library (university libraries are great for these) on this theme

  2. They can both be molded.

    They can both be formed.

    They can both be transformed.

  3. do you what are the similarities between making shapes wiht playdough and educating a child...and do you mean to ask what educational value making shapes in playdough has?

    If so:

-Mathematical: being aware of shapes and space

    -creative: designing and making skills

-Physical: fine manipulative skills and pincher skills.

-Use of tools and equipment eg if knives or cutters were used.

-emotional-the feeling of achievement when they have made the shapes

    Language skills-naming the shapes.

  4. Not sure if i understand your question, but will try. You want to know what making shapes with playdough has to do with educating a child? It helps them to develop fine motor skills, in other words how to manipulate things with their hands and develop hand-eye coordination.
