  1. (5t + 6) (2t - 3)

  2. x = 3/2 & 6/5

  3. =(5t + 6)(2t - 3)

  4. x=1.5

    x=-1.2

    use caculator mode 3 time then press 1 then is EQN degree 2

    enter a=10

    b=-13

    c=-18

  5. this is FOIL but backwards

    (2t-3) (5t+6)

  6. 10t²-3t-18

    trial and error time again

    note:

    10 =

    10 *1

    5 * 2

    18 =

    18*1

    9*2

    6*3

    there's 2 ways to factor 10

    there's 3 ways to factor 18

    means::::::::::

    there's 2*3 = 6 ways to factor them both ...

    you'll have to figure in "+ /-" signs so there are more combnations:

    we start to use some insight here, now

    (10t   18)*(t   1)

    (10t   9)*(t  2)

    (10t   6)*(t  3)

    (10t   1)*(t   18)

    (10t   2)*(t  9)

    (10t   3)*(t  6)

    (5t   18)(2t  1)

    (5t   9)(2t  2)

    (5t   6)(2t  3)

    (5t   1)(2t  18)

    (5t   2)(2t  9)

    (5t   3)(2t  6)

    LOLOL ... starts looking pretty horrible, but recall

    that we start to require *insight* here to avoid these long

    lists of *possibilities*

    here I'l cut and paste the list agin ... along with the

    "iner-products"

    (10t   18)*(t   1)   ........  10t 18t

    (10t   9)*(t  2)  ........  20t 9t

    (10t   6)*(t  3)  ........  30t  18t

    (10t   1)*(t   18)  ........  180t  1t

    (10t   2)*(t  9)  ........  90t  2t

    (10t   3)*(t  6)  ........  60t  3t

    (5t   18)(2t  1)  ........  36t  5t

    (5t   9)(2t  2)  ........  18t  10t

    (5t   6)(2t  3)  ........  12t  15t  <====  aha! diff = 3t

    (5t   1)(2t  18)  ........  90t  2t

    (5t   2)(2t  9)  ........  45t  4t

    (5t   3)(2t  6)  ........  30t  6t

    ///////////////////

    (5t   6)(2t  3) now put in some + / - signs

    want 15t to be "-15t"

    and  12t to be "+12t"

    (5t  + 6)(2t - 3)

    note

    (5t  + 6)(2t - 3) =

    10t^2 -18 + 12t - 15t =

    10t^2 -3t -18

    looks good

    set this = to zero now

    to get "zeroes" for "t"

    (5t  + 6)(2t - 3) = 0  only if

    (5t  + 6) = 0

    or

    (2t - 3) = 0

    ----------

    (5t  + 6) = 0

    5t = -6

    t = -6/5  .........  <======= answer 1

    (2t - 3) = 0

    2t = 3

    t = 3/2  .........  <======= answer 2

    two solutions:

    t = 3/2,  -6/5

    I drag out these explanations so that essentially EVERYthing

    is shown

    you will have to do some work to learn these things.

    If you "follow along" and read thru my method, things

    should become clear. Email me if necessary

    good luck

  7. Well...

    You COULD use the quadratic formula.

    It's much easier for me. :]

    [Click the link for the equation]

    A is your first number. [10]

    B is your second coefficient [-3]

    C is your third coefficient [-18]

    :] Just plug it in, and it's the same as factoring.

  8. it's quadratic.  use this formula...

    <img src="http://i37.tinypic.com/2unudxg.jpg"...

    x=t

    a=10

    b=3

    c=18

    then you solve for x (solve for t in your case.)

    sooo.... after the math is done... you'll get (3+27)/20=1.5 and (3-27)/20=-1.2

  9. Try this:

    The quadratic formula is (-b +/- sq root(b^2-4ac))/2a

    So:

    (3 +/- sq root(9-4*10*-18))/20

    solve it from there, remember to do it both as + and - to get both roots

  10. 10t²-3t-18

    =(5t + 6)(2t - 3)

  11. (5t+6)(2t-3)

    Yu must use trial & error to get it.
