Question:

11 year old birthday party a Chuckee Cheese?

My younger sister is turning 11 (5th grade) and asked my parents for her birthday party to be at a chuckee cheeses type place. It has the same type of games, tickets, little rides, but no ball pits or slides. Of course they said yeah, but I told them my concern. I think she is a little old for this type of party. I don't think there is anything wrong with her going to this place (I even take her there) but a birthday party there seems a little juvenile. She is totally mature in every other way and is very bright, however she wants to invite friends from school and I really don't want her to be talked about or made fun of. Do you think she is a little bit old for this type of party? Should I tell her and suggest something else?

  1. dude lol im 20 and i had my 20th birthday party there lol im sure she just wants to have a good time. but i could understand your concern. your lil sis is almost a teenager, but i think she knows what she's doing.

  2. anything before 6th grade is fine

  3. I absolutely love Chuck E Cheese!!! I had my 15th birthday party there a few weeks ago and had a blast. Let her have it there! I don't see what is wrong with it. So they play the older type games... my friends and I even ended up in the sky tubes during part of the party. lol... We loved it.

  4. She's at an age where she may be maturing but she still has the right to act like a kid. If she doesn't care what people say, then I say let her have a ball. Her friends would probably like it too. Shoot, we can't take my husband there without him swiping the kids' tokens. Have fun. Good luck and God Bless.

  5. Yeah she is a bit old and would be made fun of where I live, but just ask her if she thinks it is okay, and make sure she tells you if the girls and boys there might talk about her.

    EDIT

They carry purses? Not even female highschoolers carry purses to school, and nor do they wear lipgloss much. Well that could be just because most of them have bfs and lipgloss is gross to kiss for men.

I don't think she should have her party at Chuck E Cheese's, unless she doesn't care what other people think.

  6. When I moved to the other side of the state when I was 12 my friends threw me a going away party at Chuckie Cheese. We had a BLAST. Let her have her party.

  7. Heck, even I like to go to those places!

I don't see anything wrong with that. Do you have a Dave and Buster near by?

Dave and Buster is a lot like Chuck E Cheeses but for grown up kids and games they can play.

My youngest son just turn 9 and I asked if he wanted to go to C.E.C and he said that he was too old for that, instead we had a little get together with some of his friends and my friends at mini-golfing land, everyone enjoyed it, because we all got to play and compete with one another.

But then again, it is HER birthday, and she can cry if she wants to:)

  8. If she asked to have the party there her friends must be okay with it.  Where have they had their parties?  I know we still had birthday parties at Chuckie type places when we were older than 11.

  9. seriously i see nothing wrong

i have a 13 year old brother who i take too with his friends its no big deal

sometimes after a soccer game or whatever we go hang at a pizza place and play games

i'm married and me and my husband go all the time and play.

(come on take out the kid in you)

  10. She might be uber-cool and choosing Chuckie Cheese to be ironic.

  11. it's her bday, let her run how it is remembered. Chuckee cheese is a great place to have a bday. Games, pizza, and prizes. Real friends will not make fun of her because she had the party she wanted. They will make this bday party the best ever, because she is their friend. If, however her friends approach you, with some surprise they want to give her, then you are not at fault with the bday at all, and then give your ideas. Really, all a bday is about is friends, family, and consideration.
