I have the 11th overall pick out of 12 in an upcoming NFL fantasy draft, i was thinking of doin the 2 WR in the first 2 rounds, this would allow me to have for example T.O and Braylon Edward. What do you think?

  1. The top 12 point guys last year, 6 qbs, 4 rbs, and 2 wr.  The next 12 were 4 QB, 2 RB, 6 WR.

Although I have often gone RB, RB, RB with my first 3 picks, There is nothing wrong with going with a QB, or WR with first pick, just depends on value.  Although if you do not have two running backs by the fifth round you are in trouble.

If you want to join a two qb league, check Yahoo leagues 155966, 156117, 156234, or 156301.  Drafts on Tuesdays in August.  Looking for players.

  2. To the guy above me, thats a horrible way to look at the situation. There are 3 spots for WRs, and one for QB, and QBs score as much as twice as many points as WRs.

Does this mean you should take 4 QBs instead of picking your WRs becuase they score more?

You have to look at the depth of talent left to you at that point. That late in the pecking order, you should Definately go either RB-WR, or WR-RB. Going RB-RB is not worth it anymore because the RBs available at that time will all be really close together in value, while you can still grab a top 3 WR that will greatly outpace the pack production wise. If worse comes to worse, you can go WR-RB-WR-WR and still be able to pick up ronnie brown, selvin young, michael turner, kevin smith, or rashard mendenhall with your 5th and 6th round pick. These are high risk, but VERY high rewards players.

  3. it really depends on how your league scores recievers.  if your in a ppr (points per reception) based league than it would make some sense, otherwise use at least one of those picks on a running back.  you should be able to score a frank gore willis mcgahee or a marion barber if not better with a late first/early second round pick.  but you really need to investigate the scoring system of your league.

  4. runningbacks!!!

dont pick wr's still round 3-4
