  1. If you're debating between 12's and 15's, I'd use that to answer your second question: You're obviously looking for big bass so go ported.  In a Magnum, I'd recommend 12's.  Should be more then enough.

If you're already looking at the P3's, I'd recommend going overboard and spring for some T1's.  Higher sensitivity rating and better frequency range.  (down to 20 Hz)  Just one mean lookin' sub.

  2. you could get more bass out of a single 15 then 2 15 p3s in a good sized box and it would sound better and go with the ported

  3. the simple answer is 15's ported for more bass. but 12's in ported sound a little bit better.

the longer answer is that it depends on ur amp too. depending on how good ur amp is and your wiring kit, it could sound different in different ways, if u get 3 or more 12's then get thick wire, 2 or more 15's then get thick wire for that too.

also ported boxes are a lot more expensive and they take up more room. if u want better sound, get ported. if u want stronger base then get sealed, it takes up less room and u can fit more subs in ur car

  4. deep bass with less thump get the 15s If you want deep bass with some thump get the 12s.  The 12s wont go as low as the 15s though.  And go ported properly for best sound and most efficient.
