Can someone tell me how to use a 12 Volt Freezer in the house (no electric) instead of in a RV? Would I be able to run it around the clock just like a regular freezer?

  1. U need a 12 V supply like a battery or charger. Be careful with and connect the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative. If U hook it with the wrong polarity it will kill your freezer.

  2. with no electricity, you would need a car battery hooked up to a solar panel to recharge it during the day light, you can often pick up used car batteries at car wrecking yards for less than new.

I would suggest that you hook  more than one and run them i series for more back up on days where you do not have sufficient sun light.

This is a fairly inexpensive solar charger.

  3. I would think that all you would need would be a power adapter from 110 to 12 volt...quite common.
