  1. Well you can ask your doctor? If baby is wanting to sleep through the night you are one of the lucky ones who isn't having to get up 4 or 5 times a night. My son slept throughout the night almost right away to and he grew up just fine. He is ten now! If your worried ask your doctor? Just call in they don't mind! Good luck!

  2. Sweetie,1st gratz for u having a baby :),2nd of all if she is getting enough feedings during day every 2 hours if u're breastfeeding or 3 hours if u 're formula feeding, like about 8 feedings a day, then it's fine:)

also i'm wondering if she already passed her dropped weight period,it's known that babies loses some weight after birth and gain it back in 2 weeks,so if she is gaining weight after that then it's okay to leave her sleeping through the night other wise u need to wake her up to make sure she feeds

i know motherhood is kinda scary at 1st cuz sometimes u feel u don't know wt u're doing and if u're doing it right..but believe me it's gonna get better and u will get the hang of it later on and one more thing she should gain about 196grams every,of cours after that loss weight period! and also one good indicator make sure she gets 8 wed dipaers a day it's a good way to know that u're baby is gaing weight.

Gratz again for being a mommy, dear:)

  3. I wouldn't let her go longer than 6 hours, or her blood sugars could get low so she is too groggy to feed properly. If you try the 6 hours a few times and she doesn't want to wake up, give up and go back to sleep :) She'll start waking through the night herself if she gets hungry.

  4. She will wake up when she *needs* to eat.  Don't worry, the sleeping long hours will end soon - enjoy it while it lasts.  Newborn's sleeping so much is God's way of helping their mom's catch up on sleep.   Try to get some good rest the next week or so, because she won't sleep like this forever.

  5. Aren't we lucky! My daughter (4mo now) was the same way! Don't wake her up, she won't starve herself! Instead, loosen up and enjoy your sleep. Most moms can't get 12 hours of sleep, some are lucky for 5. Your babe is advanced, so enjoy it. If you want to talk some more, im me, ellygirl7

  6. Your baby won't starve herself.  If she is hungry she will wake up.  My pediatrician told me to stop waking my son for feedings, and let him set his own feeding schedule.  I think that as long as you are ready and willing to feed her when she demands it, that letting her set her own schedule is great.  And it sure beats 2 am feedings.  as long as she isn't going more then 6 hours i wouldn't stress. My son would go those six hour stretches during the day, but wanted to eat every two hours at night, i guess she just has her internal clock set right. lol
