12 gallon Eclipse aquarium (marineland)?

I have this tank and was thinking of upgrading to a larger tank maybe 20 gallons........ Has anyone ever had this tank? Is my hood compatible with any other tanks??? or am i going to have to buy a whole new set up??

If I do have to buy a whole new set up i'm planning on having two tanks running, and starting an all black skirt and white skirt tetra tank. how many can fit in 12 gallons... what about 20 gallons?

I dont really care for the one inch of fish per gallon rule so does anyone actually have experience with Black Skirts and the load they put on a filter?

hey i have the 6 gallon eclipse system, its the same style, but half the size, but its a really good tank, and the filter works very welll. in my 20 gallon , i have blackskirts, and they are pretty hardy fish, i have probably one of the biggest female blackskirts anyone has ever seen haha, but anyway i think if you are going strictly blackskirt/whiteskirt tetras, for the 20 gallon i would put like 6-black 6-white, that may look nice, and in the 12, i would do 3 and three, or maybe 4 and 4, and i would put some bottom feeders in like a small shoal of corys. anyway good luck with it, the eclipse systems are pretty good, but their unique shape makes their parts not very universal, what goes with that tank will most likely not be able to fish anything else. good luck
