I picked my daughter up from daycare today & one of the staff told me that my daughter was scratching & biting her wrist (enough that it broke the skin in 2 spots!!)

we had a well check apt tonight so of course I asked her peed about it & she said its pretty normal but well Ive never exactly seen baby's biting themselves before!! is this true-that its pretty normal? Does anyone else's baby bite them self & if so how do you make them stop?

she's never done it around me although she does occasionally bite on her fingers & such

  1. hot sauce... it works   just put it on her wrists and fingers  trust me   she wont bite  them ne more

  2. autism.

  3. Dont worry, this is very normal behavior for a young toddler. They tend to go through a phase where they will bite and hit themselves when they are frustrated, tired, or angry and also around this time they may begin hitting and biting others. This is just a form of self expression and usually resolves in a matter of months. I have a friend that has a degree in early childhood and works at several daycares with the 1 year old class and she too agrees that this behavior is very normal.
