Last year we had a 12 team league and it went really well everyone had good players, there was still decent players to be picked up off waivers/FA if you got an injury ... but I just don't like the fact that during the regular season you play 2 teams twice and all others once. I'm a sucker for symmetry. Any thoughts on a 14 team league? Did you find it hard to pick up players if you had an injury? Were you screwed during bye weeks? thoughts?

  2. Im in a 14 team league with some guys I work with. We play for money so its pretty competitive. With a league this big, you really have to do your homework when it comes to drafting. The 1st couple years we would just draw when we got to the draft for the order, but its got to where well pick numbers a month or so before hand. That way we can have a better idea of who might be there at our pick. And its very hard to pick up players when you have an injury. Most of the time if your player is just gonna be out a few weeks, its not even worth dropping a plyer to pick up another one cuz most of the time you cant get any value from the free agent pool. I had the 6th pick last year and got some good players. Joseph Addai, Brandon Jacobs, TJ Housh, Brandon Marshall, Chris Cooley. But I waited too long to get a QB and got stuck with Jason Campbell and Jey Cutler. Out of the 14 teams i finished 10th and missed the playoffs. It is harder the bigger the league. Good luck.
