12 pieces from 4 straight lines?

Is it possible to get 12 pieces of pizza from cutting 4 straight lines? The pieces do not have to be the same size, but you are not allowed to fold the pizza in any way. I've been told from one person that it is possible, but from another that it is not. When I've tried myself I can only get a maximum of 11 pieces.

1 line gives 2 pieces max.

2 lines give 2+2=4 pieces max

3 lines gives 4+3=7 pieces max.

4 lines give 7+4=11 pieces max.

5 lines gives 11+5 pieces max.
