12" subwoofer in an Acura legend (sedan)

Question

I've only experienced a 10" inch subwoofer in my car before and it was cool and all but it blew out within a few weeks, so I'm just gonna upgrade to a 12" do you think it might drown out the music though? That is my biggest worry. and yes I have a very strong amp, but I just tuned it today so cutting down the possibility of blowing this one out, do you guys think it'll be harder to blow the 12" too?

Look into the Ov line or the 13Av.2

The Ov line is compareable to the Type R's and the 13Av.2 is better the the JL W7.

Make sure your gain is adjusted properly for any sub that you buy, the gain should not really be turned all the way up. Also leave all bass boost off, as that will kill a sub quick, it makes the signal clip bad.
