Officials off the stage before trophy lift-off. One of the most amusing things in the modern game is seeing the black suited officials being pushed around and crumpled in the wild celebrations by the winning teams.

It’s more about what’s right than about the safety of the officials. They have no point to be on the podium when the winning team celebrates the trophy for which they have worked so hard.

Let the lads celebrate freely without having to worry about kicking you in the face or stepping on your thousand pound shoes. This even goes for the FIFA president. Leave the podium before the trophy is to be lifted.
And yes, stop booking for celebrations. The idea behind banning celebrations with your shirt off is that the authorities don’t want vulgarities in sport, both, in terms of writings on your vest and the nakedness. So how does one explain
the fact that after the final whistle, the shirt exchanging tradition takes place where almost all of the squad is topless.

Now according to the rules, we should be seeing a dozen yellow cards after every match. What’s more absurd is the fact that you even get booked for celebrating with the crowd. Now what is wrong with that?

Imagine you are a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38605 player on a yellow card scoring in the Champions League final against none other than Real Madrid. You are overjoyed, ecstatic and jubilant. You run towards the Catalan crowd and celebrate your goal in total ecstasy and you get another
yellow and are sent off.

It sends waves of laughter amongst sports fans. Where else do you get penalized for excessive enjoyment? Obviously celebrations have limitations which should be sought to but this rule, in all its fairness has to change.

This rule has also been ridiculed by most football pundits as one being completely unnecessary and kind of stupid. It is understandable to ban celebrations which may be considered to be a little eccentric but only taking your shirt off, when it is clearly
done at the end of the encounter.

Respect the Ref. Protesting with the referees in a wild and disregardful manner should be given a red signal with severe penalties against those who infringe these rules.

Football has been projected as a wild game at times with brawls and heated protests ensuing with the referees following an often difficult and tough call. Players are not and should not be allowed to hound and harass the match officials.

While it’s perfectly normal to voice your opinions and make a case for yourself, it is not wise to go shouting at and pushing a referee. New rules should be employed where the captain and the player involved are only allowed to talk to the referee in a polite
and calm manner. This will not only keep the tempers on the pitch in check but will also ensure that the referee is not brought under pressure to make decisions and can instead make decisions efficiently, with an eased head.
