OK... background info. I'm 21, helping my mom out with the kids, my mom's unavailable b/c of intensive nursing school. This particular sister is unmanageable. She will stop at nothing to get her way. Today she got out of a field trip at summer camp because she didn't feel like going, last week she persuaded the counselor she was sick so I had to pick her up (she wasn't). She has MANY privileges and nice things. My idea is to just take everything away and start from scratch, I think she's spoiled. Take away cell phone, DS, computer access, Wii/xBox/TV privileges, time with neighbor friend, and everything else I can think of, until she figures out how to appreciate what she has enough to deserve extra privileges. I'm at my wit's end... I know this isn't ideal, but I don't know what to do with her. She brings out the worst in people.

P.S. I would have put this in Adolescent, but she is in grade school, and doesn't really have the maturity of an adolescent (I know that sounds ridiculous).

  1. First of all you are not her mom. Let the mom deciede but you can suggest. Listen she is not spoiled at all. If she doesn't like camp take her on Vacation instead. I am 11 and I have all the things that she has and more reward her when she does well.
