My daughter is having her 12th birthday party as a sleepover. She is making it jelly bean themed, and so far we have all of the gift bags and decorations. Now all that's left is games... if you have any good ideas let me know!!

  1. "Human Slot Machine". get  three girls and sit them  side by side. They are each given three pieces of "Runts" fruit shaped candy.  (One banana, one orange, and one lime.) The girl on the far left was told to raise her arm to represent the "handle" of the human slot machine.  Each member of the machine would SECRETLY select one piece of the fruit candy and slip it into their mouth.  Then a "gambler" was selected to pull down the handle.  When the arm was lowered, it was a cue for the first girl to stick out her tongue displaying the candy on it. The audience would shout out the name of the fruit and then the next girl sticks out her tongue. if the girl who pulls the arm down gets three in a row they win a prize.

  2. Bean bag toss is always fun.

If they are into art, do jelly bean mosaics.

Here's a link on a jelly bean relay race: http://www.ehow.com/how_18203_hold-jelly...

  3. I think tween girls will be happy just hanging out and acting like girls.  They are almost too old to play structured games.  Maybe they would rather do make-overs or make homemade modeling videos.  They could dress in their favorite jelly bean color if you wanted to incorporate your theme.  Just letting your daughter choose will probably be best.

  4. fill a jar with beans. have the children guess how many is in the jar. the one closest to the correct number gets a prize

  5. there is this one game called "jelly hill" it is normally done with something like a sour patch kid, but jelly beans will do just fine. Its an odd game, but can become really fun and humorous.

what you do is make a pile of flour (maybe half of a bag), then place a jelly bean on top of it. the object of the game is to eat the jelly bean without getting too much flour but here's the catch... you can't use anything but your mouth! it is funny watching kids try this feat.

there is also a craft with jelly beans, you make your own hair accessories using jelly beans. i'm not sure how well it works out, because i've never done it, but it sounds fun here is the link:

hope this helps and wish your daughter a happy birthday

  6. If I were you, I'd set up one or two games and then let them hang out, talk, and watch movies.

How about getting bowls of sand or something similar and hiding a specific amout of jelly beans in it.  The first person to get the amount of jellybeans out of their bowl first wins.

  7. you can let them watch movies..

pin the tail on the donkey..

    limbo..

    arts n crafts..
