  1. *0% of what you pay for petrol goes to the government. The oil companies via a degree of creative accounting are making vast profits. All of this adds onto your food bill among other things. That's so what

  2. because the oil companies like to take advantage of us!

  3. Its called rip off Britain.

And have you noticed how diesel "the life blood of Britain" required for the movement of just about everything has suddenly gone from being about 2p a litre more than petrol to 10p plus!!!

You would think that the price for fuel would be rising at the same rate around the world taking into account that this is a global problem.

My relatives in Croatia are paying the equivalent of 2p more than last year.

  4. We are being taxed on it to within an inch of our lives. Contrary to what a lot of people are saying in their answers, the pumps are not where oil companies are making their money. In fact, I saw on BBC news this morning that of the 108.9p per litre we pay on the forecourts, the petrol companies are making 8.8p while 69p is going directly back to our lovely Labour government. Bleed us dry a little more, why don't you.

  5. because are government loves to tax us !!  over 70 percent is tax ,im a cabby and its killing me !!  currently studying to get out of this country !!

  6. I hate oil being so expensive, it now costs me 12 cents a week to lube the chain of my commuter bicycle. That's a 50% increase over last year

  7. Convert Your Car to RUN on WATER as well as Gasoline - Triple Your Mileage!

  8. Very simple, If you don't pay you don't get the gasoline or diseal fuel.  If you can't get the fuel FREE then you don't drive!

  9. The oil companies have you over a barrel.  The average profit made by BP and Texaco for the last 3 months was 3.5 billion pounds.  Petrol is only a by product.  Down to supply and demand.

  10. Hah suckers. I commute by bicycle.
