Question:

1200-1500 calories is SOOOO little, isnt it?

Ok so all those calculator thingys tell me that females need about 1500-ish calories a day but that's like nothing my breakfast alone is usually at least 300-500. Now I don't want to come across as morbidly obese since I am only 5'4 and 105 pounds but don't you think that seems a bit ridiculous? If you don't mind could you add your size and aprox how much you eat, because I want to see if anyone actually listens to this rubbish :)

  1. just eat whole wheat grains and lots of fruits and vegetables and lean meat and tons of water!! then it doesnt matter how much you eat since you're just eatting healthy.


  2. A female typically needs around 2000 calories a day. I'm 5ft2, 125lb and usually eat about 1,800 calories a day.

  3. actually its pretty realistic.  imagine being out in the middle of the jungle, do you think you could find more than 1500 calories a day?  food these days are so packed with refined sugars, greases and c**p that its hard NOT To Eat Too Much

Okay, I do not know what calculator you are looking at but 1200 - 1500 is ridiculous. 1000 calories a day is considered starvation. 1200 calories a day are for people who are suffering from severe obesity or who are trying desperately to lose weight. Either way, this type of dieting should be monitored by a health professional. The average person consumes 2400 calories a day. That is a healthy amount.

    I am 5`10 and weigh 130. I am slightly underweight for my height. I eat about 2400 calories a day. I just eat the right things, protein, fiber, good fats, and some carbs.

    My advice, throwout those garbage calculators and eat well.
