  1. 2 axolotls

    1 leucistic

    1 wild type

  2. I think you can put a parrot fish in there try some corydas and some tetras or gouramis

  3. i did this one time... just go to the pet store/ big pet shop and close your eyes and randomly wave your hand and then walk slowly up and down an with your eyes still closed....touch a tank:)  and keep repeating until you have enough:) lol

  4. It is not that big of a tank. I would go for a combo of fish or a category. Go for some cool fish. These are my options:

    3 rainbow snakeheads

    Malawis

    2 parrots+2 discus+pleco

    4 discus+pleco

    4 angelfish

    4 pirhannas

    2 rainbow snakeheads+2 Pirhannas

Each line is a option. I would go with the snakeheads or the snakeheads+pirhannas. Snakeheads are more vicious than pirhannas. Red belly pirhannas are the best.

  5. in a 30 gallon your limited

add a second filter and it opens up possibilites

    you could put:

2-3 parrot fish and NOTHING else! parrots are cichlids and will eat anything that fits in their mouth. they are also LARE fish!

a single pair of angel fish wiht a school (5-6) serpea, blackskirt or pristella tetra (anything bigger and youll overstock anything smaller ie neons or glowlights than theyll be eaten by your angels) and a small group (3-6) corydora.

you could do a pair of dwarf gourami and 2 nice groups of any tetra (2 groups of 5-6) and some corydora

or 1 larger gourami (like 3 spot, opaline, moonlight, pearl ect) and 2 groups of tetra.

  6. 30 gallons? Good sized fish? Well you might be able to put in one or two good sized fish, but you wont be able to have many so make sure whichever one you choose doesnt need to be in a school.

The smallest parrot fish you get is going to get about 12" You could get a bigger tank, or be satisfied with smaller fish for now. Unless you only wanted two or three fish.

    Good luck!

  7. I have a 33 gallon tank.  It has quite a few multi-colored guppys, a few tetra and a few platys.  It's very colorful and the fish are very playful and active.  You are limited with thirty gallons.  Consider the size of the fish when it's full-grown before buying it.

  8. Nooo snakeheads, I think those are illegal in the United States even! Discus are beautiful, but require a much larger tank and are extremely hard to take care of. You could try putting a pair of angels, and a school of corydoras in there but nothing more.

The minimum gallons a single pair of Angels is 29, because as they grow up and they pair up, they will be extremely aggressive with other fish in their territory, which is around a 30 gallon range.

A 30 gallon tank will be fine for a pair of juvenile parrotfish (assuming you're referring to freshwater fish), but as they grow they will need at least 55 gallons.

But really, that's about the maximum you can go for those species, I suggest for a tank that small to go for a normal community tank with peaceful fish, or some german/bolivian rams if you like the personality in cichlids. They have the looks, intelligence, and they're beautiful to boot.

The german rams are more delicate than the bolivan rams, but with proper water levels they should do great in your tank -- just make sure that the supplier who sells the fish from the stores isn't from Asian countries, because fish breeders implant hormones on German Rams which makes them gain lots of color prematurely, but also die quickly as well.

    Good luck!
