  1. OMG! Canada is awesome. It isnt much different here, then in america.

We have the cutest stores ever! BUT we dont have hottopic,TJ Maxx, saks, nordstroms, jc pennys, etc. We have our own stuff. There are 2 brand here, that are expensive, but really popular called TNA and LULULEMON. We also have lots of cute stores. (Yes, we do have hollister and abercrombie) Its nothing special.. its really cool. And BTW, dont think that when you come to canada in the summer its winter wonderland. ITS NOT it gets hot in the summer here, just like any other place. Its nothing special here, its just the differenceof us, being really nice people, and having a multi-cultured country. Its awesome. Not different from america.

Schools are the same. And there are lots of EXCELLENT collages.

What we do on weekends? Hang out with our friends, go shopping. What else?

The offical canadian languages are English, and French.

    Hope this helps!

  2. Well, I'm 17...

I really like my school! :) I live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), in Durham Region. I like the schools out here. The teachers are awesome, nice...

On the weekends, we have the mall, lots of stores, movies, lots of sports, arenas (public skating, swimming, classes), volunteering (humane societies, hospitals, etc), working, hanging out anywhere.

We have clothing stores like American Eagle, Gap, Old Navy, Pennington's, Addition Elle, La Senza, Hollister (well, in Toronto), Boathouse, Bluenotes, Jean Machine, Dynamite, Sirens, Guess, Nike, Roots, West 49, Campus Crew, D-Tox, Eddie Bauer...

If you come to Ontario mid-July or August, I'd suggest going up to the Muskokas and rent a cottage for a week! :) There are sites like cottagelink.com and cottage-canada-USA.com where you can browse by region and look at that. You can just relax. :)

Or you could stay at a hotel in your potential area... I'd suggest stuff in Durham, like Courtice, Oshawa, Whitby.... maybe further east like Cobourg and stuff. It's really pretty, and and a good area :)

As for colleges... are you interested in college vs university, or do you just call them college? I heard in the USA you just call them college... but it all depends on what you want to go into. McMaster University has a good rep.. so does Queen's, and U of Toronto. And York... so does Ryerson.. actually... they all are good. But Queens is older and so I guess has a better reputation. UOIT (University of Ontario Institute of Technology) is in Oshawa and is developing fast with great reviews! It was established in 2003 I believe. I'm not sure about colleges, but Humber is good, it's in Toronto. :) If you're going to live in Durham, Durham College in Toronto (same campus as UOIT) has good courses.... Trent University has a sattelite campus in the same campus too!!

As for languages, English. French is the second language.. there's French Immersion schools and whatnot around here. If you don't want immersion just go ahead and take core French.. I've been taking it all through high school and it's so much fun! :)

And for the towns (links sourced below), here is the order of them from west to east:

    Whitby - Oshawa - Courtice - Clarington - Bowmanville - Port Hope - Cobourg

Cobourg is about 35 mins east of Whitby.

I have a bunch of links for you below. I hope I helped! If you want any more info feel free to message me from my profile!

    :)

  3. I'm an 13 yr old Proudly Canadian.

Canada is very similar to the US, the clothing trends are the same, and school is very similar (except that we have a French class). So alot of ur questions' answer is practally the same to the US. If u visit Canada u should definanally check out Parlament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. University of Toronto is a very popular university in Canada. Seneca college is also an option for a college in Toronto, Ontario.

Our offical languages are English and French. French is mainly spoken in Quebec, but it is still spoken throughout Canada. English is known everywhere in Canada.

  4. For Language's just English and French for the Majority.

  5. i like canada, im living in vancouver but i vist toronto almost every summer, the schools are nice, people is nicer than in any other part of the world,we have almost the same stores that you have in america and theres a lot of people from a lot of differnet countries, toronto is a multicultural city but in other parts of canada ut gonna find mostly chinese, i hope you like it

  6. My friend and I live in Toronto, and thats where we are now... its kinda actually really boring, no lie.  BUT theres a lot of nice views, and its really multicultural (if u like that)

GO TO RYERSON UNIVERSITY my mom work there.
