  1. my daughter is 14 months, and we see a dry diaper for a few hours and then woosh it's filled. I think they have a little more control over the kidneys, and also, she doesn't take as much fluid since we are offering her baby food and other solids.

  2. How long is a long time?  As long as she is making a wet diaper every 3 hours then she is alright.  The other posters are right, the older the babies get the less often they go.  They are starting to concentrate the urine as an adult would.  Right before I started PT my kids they were only wetting 3-4 diapers a whole day.

  3. How many hours between wet diapers?  If she seems well hydrated, I wouldn't worry at all.

As toddlers get older, they gain more control over their bladder and bowel movements.  My youngest son began occasionaly waking up dry in the mornings around 15 months.  Within 5 minutes of waking up, he;d pee and the diaper would be soaked.

Perhaps you'll be lucky and she'll potty train early.  :)

  4. Give your pediatrician a call and ask. If they are concerned they will schedule her for an appointment.
