I'm 13 weeks pregnant. For the past week I have had this horrible headache that does not go away. I have tried resting, drinking fluids, eating, showers etc and nothing seems to help! At work I feel like I cannot go about my normal day because the headache pain gets so bad. Is it normal in pregnancy to have a headache last this long and not go away? I dont remember my headaches being like this with my other pregnancies...doctor appt on the 10th, will ask her then but for now any answers are appreciated..

  1. Just try relaxing. You're still early in your pregnancy and things like that happen. You've had a headache for a week?Continue resting and eating healthy.Make sure to tell you're Doctor this.Im sure everything is fine...

  2. It could be a migraine.  I've heard that some women get them when they are pregnant, even though they've never had them before.  I had migraines before I was pregnant.  Most doctors are ok with you taking tylenol while pregnant, but if it's a migraine, it won't help much.  What helps me with migraines is a "Bed Buddy."  It's a rice filled sack that you can heat up in the microwave.  You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond stores.  It helps push the pain back, if that makes any sense.  You could also try a heating pad or warm wash cloth.  It definitely makes it more tolerable.  If heat doesn't work, I've heard that cold compresses work for some people.

  3. i ended up with pregnancy induced migraines. you need to call obgyn tomorrow.

i had to see a neurologist and all that.
