He is adamant that he is not going to go back to the school he is at at the moment and wishes to go to a school which he always wanted to but is outside the catchment area, his best mate went there after primary and i must admit it is a better school for him in my mind too, he is doing very well in lessons but i am sure he would do even better if he was happier.

How do i go about this to see if he could change or is it not possible since he is not being bullied much (a bit) and his grades are good but he is very unhappy there.

  1. well i got into this school called ashby, but only cause 40 kids from this school in the catchment didnt get in so us 20 could..

try speaking with the school or the gov?

  2. Is Catchment area like not being in the district. If it is Open enrollment would be a good idea. Just talk to the district council and get it going. They should let him in.

  3. talk to the school that he wants to go to my brother goes to a school that wasn't in the catchment area and because they had places they accepted him try talk to them it's worth a try

  4. im 14 and i know how he feels its either someone is bullying him or he is not happy by a teacher or a subject, im almost sure someone is bugging him, talk to him and tell him that you want to tell the head about whoever is bothering him, and make sure that you tell him that whoever he/she is they are going to be expelled! not grounded not deteained, EXPELLED

this should make him feel secure enough to spell it out

  5. its very possible, you need to apply though and the school dont need to accept him as he is not intheir catchment area. contact the school or local council to get the ball rolling
