its 34.9 but how do you get that??

  1. The units of heat capacity are:

    Joules / g K

    For the numbers you gave for NICKEL, the answer is 0.444

    For MERCURY (Hg) I looked up 0.41

    I don't have a clue where 34.9 comes from

    Even the molar heat capacity (J / mol K ) doesn't work out to 34.9 -- it works out to be 82 J / mol K

    Even the molar heat capacity of Nickel doesn't work out to 34.9
