13yr old subject?

Hello,

I am liking a woman who is a good friend, and I'm going to meet her for the first time. We met on the net, and I live out of state. She has a five year old boy, whom I have lost of ideas about. She has a 13 year old girl.

Since this is the first time I will meet them, I want to bring a small gift to them, but what do 13 year olds like that is a "small token" of something they might appreciate. K is athletic looking, tall and slightly overweight so buying a shirt is something I wouldn't know the size of. Are 13 yr olds into drinking gourmet coffee's? Do you think she'd like some homemade gourmet fudge? I thought about a really pretty journal, or something like that? What do you think she'd like?

I give my cousins gift cards to the local music store.  Mabey and online one with credit added to her name? Look on line for the department stores in her area mabey you can buy her a gift card to a store in her area.    I like the journal idea!

A simple necklace, maybe with a silver heart or something. Or a small box of chocolate. There are really plenty of options, but try not to go over the top...

Maybe you shouldn't get her kids anything - I mean, unless you get them something they really want, you're not going to leave a good impression with a 13 year-old girl. She'll probably just think she's even more misunderstood. (;

Any kind of notebook, necklace, or cute headband or something. Even gift cards. Try Claire's, CATO, or Target. I'm 14 and that's what I would like. Most 13 year olds aren't too into coffee so I wouldn't do that, but the fudge sounds great!! Every girl is different though, so you might be better off asking her mother...

13yr olds like things that are cool and hip. try getting her a trendy necklace or earrings. they can be from target or claires of somewhere reasonably priced.
