14 - 18 Ft. V hual outboard model?

Question

I am planning on getting a small 14-18 foot fiber glass v haul (like a small Sunray). My dad has a homemade 18 foot runabout that he recently droped a 632 in, so I want to be able to go at least half his speed. (40-50 Mph) What model of outboard would you recommend (under 500 pounds)?

i  would  say  about a  30hp  , i had one on a 15ft and it would  about  28  to 30  mph  on my gps
