Runs OK then stops, splutters etc. let it cool down then it runs OK for a bit, then the same. Sort of like it's overheating, but no obvious air blockages. If I take off the carby bowl when it's hot it just flows juice. When cool it seems to be OK.

Frustrating !!

  1. Sounds like the perfect mower.

After an hour its time for a beer anyway.

With that sorted I suggest that you buy a new mower and give me the old one.

  2. sounds like ignition module bad you can have them tested at small engine parts store

  3. sounds like you have an older model carb with a float bowl. haven't seen one of them in yrs.  what is happening is the gas in the tank get hot, when gas gets hot it expands the gas has no where to go, this in turn floods the carb making to mower stop. when the gas cools everything is ok.  try using a vented gas cap if you can this should solve the problem, when the gas heats up it will vent and not build up pressure.   good luck....
